Supporting the artistic practices involving the territory
Continuously looking for interactions between culture and society, Trempolino supports the diversity in music practices (learning, experimenting…) and allows various kinds of transmission and presentation by implementing adapted support devices and places:
– rehearsal and recording rooms,
– music workshops (allowing learning, encouraging collective practices and playing with forms and styles),
– territory cultural actions offering artistic adventures.
Supporting the initiatives and creations
This support allows the cultural operators to define better the environment and to acquire skills as well as a better structuring of their artistic projects. These systems help to pool the means and encourage the development of cooperations.
This a long-term support so that the project can be developed in an easier way.
– Pays de la Loire Regional Center for information and resources (media and book library, shop, etc.),
– economic help systems for the projects (microcredit, distribution, etc.),
– personal consultations, conferences, etc.
Supporting the professional structuring with training and integration into workplaces
Training for artists, technicians and cultural operators encourage individual and collective careers by learning. Beyond the training, a professional integration builds the relationship between artists and practicing professionals.

Allows the artists to get credit to finance their cultural projects.
International actions / artist mobility
The professional training allow the musicians to immerse themselves into the culture of the host country (Germany, England, Cuba, United States, Mali, Morocco, Trinidad & Tobago…).
Supporting the artists during festivals
Several artists from the Pays de la Loire region are supported by Trempolino within the context of the Printemps de Bourges and Trans Musicales de Rennes festivals, both major music festivals in France.
Support local players by providing workplaces as well as helping them structuring their projects.
A cultural café to meet and learn, to talk and discuss, to attend conferences, seminars, gigs, cartes blanches, exhibitions.

Created by the city of Nantes, supported by the Pays de la Loire region, the Loire-Atlantique department, the French Ministry of Culture, “La Fabrique, art lab(s)”, was initiated and carried by five associations: Stereolux/Songo, Mire, Apo 33, Microfaune and Trempolino.
La Fabrique, designed by the architect Michel Bertreux (Tetrarc agency), is composed of three areas:
The Trempolino building stands on a former blockhaus and is 7 level tall on 2,300 m² in all.
On the ground floor stands “La Place”, with a cultural café, a stage for gigs, cartes blanches, conferences…
The mezzanine houses the Pays de la Loire Regional Centre for information and resources.
The MAO (computer-assisted music) studio-bus is situated on the terrace.
The third floor is a platform for the coordination team offices and meeting rooms.
16 studios for musicians and artists: 9 rehearsal studios, 5 training studios, 2 recording and pre-production studios.
The second building is embedded into the Nefs and houses the projects of Microfaune, Apo33 and Stereolux, on 4,900 m². It is composed of two concert halls of 1,200 and 400 seats, a centre for multimedia experimentation and creation, a multimedia area, a bar-brasserie.
Carried by Mire, a garden “Jardin C” offers a project connected to the territory (experimental cinema, urban interventions).
Support the emergence of artistic talents and new creative styles in modern music, visual arts, performing arts and cinema.
Allow interactions between the artists and the territory thanks to practical workshops, artistic experiments.
Develop new forms of cooperation between the cultural operators, the forms of expression and the artistic, economic and social worlds.
Engage in protecting and promoting the cultural expressions diversity in the spirit of Unesco and the Agenda 21 for culture.
